I can’t tell you how mad I was when I realized she gave up the entire plot for this absolute dumpster fire. Praying the next release makes up for it otherwise I’m pretending these books don’t exist

her pacing is all over the place. she writes these books with multiple plot lines like but wraps up the main plot usually in a big rush to leave sub plots unfinished but because the makes the MC so OP to wrap the main plot she has to arbitrarily flip to a new character for "reasons" then that character basically become OP and again not all the threads are finished. that happens ALOT in ACoTAR and Crecent city

This is just a really in-your-face example of SJM's awful pacing. Splitting the Valkyrie Cycle into multiple books means that Splintered Harmony is nothing but the meandering beginning and middle sections of the story
