It's_me_Lolo🎶 :
Yoo read that , mainly all his attacks have like some apes name and the last one he uses in gear 5 form bajrang gun (bajrang is something related to hanuman the indian monkey deity) What if Luffy is inspired by BOTH Hanuman and Sun Wukong? 👀 Hanuman was a divine monkey known for incredible strength, even attempting to reach the Sun as a child. Luffy has the Sun God Nika fruit and an attack named Bajrang Gun, a reference to Hanuman. Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, was famous for shapeshifting, immense strength and rebelling against heaven. Sound familiar? Luffy's attacks like Kong Gun and King Kong Gun, his Monkey name, Gear 5 and now his ape-like transformation make these connections even more interesting. Maybe Oda is combining Hanuman and Sun Wukong mythology to create Luffy's ultimate identity: the Sun God and the Monkey Now the big connection: Hanuman IS bajrang, his full name is bajrangbali, he’s the symbol for liberation from tyranny, his father is also the wind god(dragon has a wind based fruit as well) he lept across the sea to lanka (sailed to elbaph) to defeat the demon king (imu)

Griffberth's Theories :
People need to read more books nowadays. We’ve known for ages that Luffy was inspired by Wukong. When Oda revealed Gear 5 and Luffy’s Devil Fruit, we had already made the connection and knew he was going to have a Monkey God Mode.
