A John Snow :
About 3 years ago, I was about to 💀 myself. I put the TV on and watched The Chosen as a hardcore atheist and it was at the end of the first episode when Jesus called to Mary and healed her, in that moment I felt Jesus call to me, I didn’t go through with my plan, and I started reading my grandfather’s Bible the next day. I will always have a special place in my heart for The Chosen because of that, but yea unfortunately it’s not 100% biblical and they do make some less than desirable choices with narrative and all. I’ll definitely have to check out these recommendations though. Thank you, brother 🙏 God bless

I listened to the whole Bible through "The Word of Promise" it's a big dramatized AudioBook of the Bible with sound effects and actors. GREAT 👍

I used to love The Chosen when I was a new Christian, but over time, I started feeling convicted. I realized how easy it is to get so attached to characters that you start associating the actors with who they portray, even in real life. And when you’re new to Christianity, it’s easy to assume everything you see on the show is biblical truth. But as I started reading the Bible for myself, I learned to separate Scripture from creative storytelling. Nothing against Jonathan Roumie at all, but seeing people call him their “Dad” in the comments or use his pictures to express their love for Jesus makes me uncomfortable. I know they mean well, but I think it’s important to remember that he’s an actor portraying Jesus, not Jesus Himself.

The chosen isn’t biblical and it’s sad that there are people think that it is. Please read your actual bible, the NLT is very easy to understand and follow.

At the end of the day this show has helped people get closer to Jesus. It does not excuse anyone from reading the bible for themselves. Nothing wrong with the Chosen.

I wouod highly suggest using the Halow app. Fr Mike reads it to you. You can do a bible in a year, and the way he reads it to you. And he explains it to you as you read, it's great. I love it I can't stop listening

Watching The Chosen doesn't count as having read the Bible? Who's keeping count anyway? I'm not going to go to hell if I don't read the Bible in its entirety. That's not the gospel.

this is not true what you say. if it plants the seed it plants the seed. it is our duty to not be lazy in our faith but that comes in time. if your belief once saved always saved is correct then this is enough to be baptized with the holy spirit. with everyone on the internet confusing which teaching is the right way the chosen does show an introduction to people's hearts to change. so it's a the seed that is needed but with everyone professing everyone is wrong in there faith no wonder why people go to "entertainment" as you say to hear the word.
