I still remember the very first uber eats hiring commercial talking about it being a "side gig" to do on your free time for extra money. When did we start having the expectation that a sub-entry level position is meant to pay full bills? I know the job markets tough right now but how does that make uber a job for grown adults expecting it to pay bills.

I have a friend that works uber. You get paid for the “active” hours you work. So if you are actively working or delivering for one hour you make the min wage + the Fee and tips for the order delivery. I know people who work on Uber and they make up to 50k yearly. Considering this is a side hustle.. that’s pretty good
