@maryjohnsonmakes: Building a business while raising a family has taught me a lot about myself, and I’m still learning every day. I’ve learned that balance doesn’t always look the way you imagined. Some days, it’s being present with my kids, keeping up with meals and activities, and managing all the little things at home. Other days, it’s answering emails, reviewing documents, making decisions, and keeping the business moving forward. Most days, it’s all happening at once. And that’s okay. It’s about finding your own rhythm and continuing to show up. I’ve also learned just how much believing in what you’re building matters. My background in social work, combined with becoming a mom, has shaped the way I see what children need to thrive. Knowing we’re creating products that my own children need and that can make a difference for other families is what keeps me motivated and excited about this mission. And then there’s the constant learning! From product development and packaging to budgets, timelines, and everything in between, there’s always something new to figure out. Not everything is within my control, but I’ve learned to focus on what I can control, advocate for what I believe in, and find solutions along the way. I genuinely love the challenge and seeing how far we’ve come. There’s so much that goes into building something from the ground up, and we’re excited to share more of the process with you.
