@scrubsandstruggles26: I never thought that after 15+ years in nursing, I’d be struggling this much financially. I work full-time, take care of other people’s families all day, and still bring home less than $1,000 twice a month after taxes and deductions. I’m not saying nursing should make me rich, but I never imagined I’d be working this hard and still worrying about groceries, gas, bills, and whether we’re going to lose our vehicles. And with the holidays coming up, the stress is overwhelming. I know I’m not the only one feeling this way. Healthcare workers spend so much time taking care of everyone else, but how many of us are barely keeping our own households afloat? I’m genuinely curious. How long have you been in healthcare, and do you feel like you’re actually getting ahead financially?
