@hurricane.ready: South Florida has been soaked by round after round of heavy rain since the weekend. A gauge near Riviera Beach reported 23.19 inches in 72 hours, and West Palm Beach picked up 11.67 inches Sunday and Monday, including a record 7.39 inches Monday that shattered the old mark of 2.52 inches from 1925. That is more than three times the city's normal rainfall for all of November, with 2.98 inches falling in one hour Monday evening alone. More downpours are possible through Wednesday, so turn around if you see water over the road. Data: NWS Miami, NOAA MRMS
