This is what gets me about avoidants..you’ll think everything is fine because they won’t communicate how they actually feel, then it all comes out once they’re upset. But when YOU try to communicate and address things as they happen, suddenly you’re “combative,” “criticizing them,” or it’s “nothing I do is ever good enough.” Like boo hoo, cry me a river!!! I’m trying to have a conversation and work through the issue, not attack you. I’d rather speak up, address it, and move forward than silently build resentment and unload everything later. That shit is exhausting.

YES- this is so spot on! Hours before the discard he was telling me that I was special and everything he ever wanted. The discard he went in on every personality trait and how much he hated it and me. I’m sooo grateful I was securely attached and confident in myself because it broke me and everything. I’m still healing 3 months later

My abusive ex who withheld info such as his spendings and whereabouts told his therapist I’m controlling but not telling them why he needs to be watched bc he cheated and spent money on drugs(drugs he was addicted to) and other women.. things for him meanwhile he was supposed to be saving for us to move out his dads.. she agreed with him and told him that I’m doing too much he’s grown so every argument he said he’s grown he earns his money.. she fueled his fire …

When we finally got to therapy, her going in position was "im coming for you at therapy". I was there in a genuine sense too. Every session was what or why I was wrong.

He told me to believe whatever I wanted after I told him I knew he cheated but he was soooo mad he couldn’t gaslight me out of what I knew 😂😂😂

We went to our first therapy, the counselor looked at him when I said he was having an affair for a year, hhe said “ oh” than looked at me and said” I want to talk to you and you alone moving forward, he said we need to figure out what makes you want to stay with someone who betrayed you,” we need to see why you think you deserve that, we left that session and my ex said “ we aren’t going back there” lol he did tell me at one point, he hated me, I was a bitch, I loved drama, I don’t do PDA, I don’t have long hair, and I’m not skinny, I laugh now but boy, 27 yrs, I lost a baby, lost both my parents 5 years apart and than had 2 teens struggling, one extremely bad, but I love drama 🤷🏼‍♀️

These people are so defected they break up with you and cheat on you for every little thing. They will find any excuse to end the relationship and somehow they believe it, and it makes sense and they feel mighty about it.
