I’ll never forgot as a kid. We were camping with friends. They were from a different state. In a busy town, someone walked out in front of him, not in a crosswalk and hit this person. He was freaking out thinking I just hit a person!! Cops came told the driver to leave, loaded the person in the ambulance with a ticket 😂😂. We were all shocked.

I assume that those people who just walk into traffic don't care if they live or die and then I have compassion for them that their life probably sucks. I still get irritated sometimes but I know a sane person doesn't do that.

We have what they call assumed crosswalks (or something like that) and as a vehicle driver, you can get in huge trouble (big fines) if you don't stop and allow them to go. Sometimes it's super annoying though because you're going 45 or 50 mph and you have to stop for somebody who's crossing a four-lane road... yeah, some acknowledgment would be nice!
