It takes forever. Sitting on the toilet and holding your head upside down helps a lot because it takes so long and definitely open the bathroom door. And if it gets frizzy I would suggest using an old T-shirt instead of a tea towel. Curly hair is so much work.

No you don't do it until it's fully dry. Just until it's damp. And try a blow dry cream instead of an air dry cream.

I sit on the toilet upside down because it helps my back; when you first start diffusing, don't touch your hair so it forms a cast on the curls, and use low or medium fan speed.
