@padrelesyr: “I am #Catholic, but I’m not #available for Jesus!” We like to declare: “I’m Catholic! Baptized, confirmed, married in the Church! And proud of it!” But as for Mass—no time! Prayer—too busy! Serving others—well, maybe when I retire! In the Gospel, God extends an invitation to His banquet. Yet, the invited guests all have an excellent excuse: a field, some oxen, a wedding… No one openly rejects God; everyone simply has something better to do! We claim our Catholic #identity, but are we truly available to Christ? Take heed! Being Catholic is not merely about defending a tradition or displaying an affiliation. It is about responding to an invitation and living out a #Relationship with Jesus! So, if God were to look at your calendar, would He see a disciple who is available, or a Catholic who is always too busy?
