@wkrntv: An unlicensed veterinarian in East Nashville has been arrested following a dog’s death and multiple complaints, officials announced Tuesday. The Metro Nashville Police Department, representatives with the District Attorney’s office, and Drug Enforcement Administration agents all responded to Caudle Veterinary Clinic in the 3600 block of Gallatin Pike on Tuesday, Nov. 3, to execute a search warrant. Officials said the investigation centered around an “unlicensed person” performing procedures on animals, which resulted in “adverse outcomes.” The individual was later revealed as 45-year-old Prashant Pandya. He has since been charged with impersonating a veterinarian, which is a felony offense. More details at the link above

Just wow. Did he go to veterinary school somewhere else and not pass just the Tennessee board? Was he ever licensed in any state? Another country? Is he just some rando playing vet? How was he able to get controlled drugs (that requires a license)? He couldn’t get a DEA license without an active veterinary license. How could this have gone on this long without the DEA auditing this practice? Sick. I want more information.
