@turtlehospital: Emerald had his annual physical exam today! 💚🐢 His checkup included updated measurements, an ultrasound and physical exam with Dr. Terry, and a set of X-rays to make sure everything is looking good. Like Hanson Buoy, Emerald is one of our permanent residents with “bubble butt” syndrome. All of our permanent residents can also serve as blood donors when needed, helping provide life-saving transfusions for some of our more critical patients. Emerald most recently donated blood to Logan, helping him through his recovery after surgery ❤️‍🩹 We’re so grateful for these special turtles and the important role they play in helping others here at The Turtle Hospital! 💚 #seaturtle #seaturtlerescue #rescuerehabrelease #marineconservation #marinelife

I had never heard of bubble butt syndrome until I saw your post about Hanson Buoy! That's so wonderful they will have permanent care available as residents and can double as blood donors, I bet theyre so happy and healthy with all the spa days and catered meals 😊❤️✨️
