What in the hell is this dude talking about? In all of my years and deer hunting I have only one time gutted a deer in the field. It’s much easier to throw it in my sled drag it to my car and get it home on the hoist and got it that way.

Growing up we didn’t gut in the field. We took it home and gut it. Only ppl I knew that gut in the field was because they were “poaching” and needed the animal to be lighter to carry/drag easier.
