WHAT DO I FILM WITH? ↓ Read Caption • MY CAMERA I take all my pictures and videos on an iPhone 14 Pro Max using the back camera • USE A GRID Turn on the Grid for the camera to make sure everything is proportionate, RULE of thumb is for the eyes to line up with the top horizontal grid line. In iPhone, go to settings > camera > record video > composition > grid ON • CAMERA SETTINGS Turn off HDR to avoid high contrast. In iPhone, go to settings > camera > record video > choose cache & cellular > data saver > then turn OFF "use less cellular data" • STUDIO LIGHTS I use 2 Neewer square lights & my Amaran aperture handheld light. Turn the lights on their highest setting & center them around your subject, have open space behind your client to soften the light. If you put your clients against a wall, it will reflect that light forward causing harsh shadows. • EDITING With the iPhone editor I add the TINIEST amount of saturation, black point, & sharpness. This brings back any color lost & sharpens the video. Even if the video you upload is in 4K res, Tiktok will compress it dramatically & make it look trash • TIKTOK SETTINGS Change Tiktok settings to always allow high quality videos, & turn OFF data saver to upload at the best quality. data savers compress videos & ruin image quality.
