@jamesgetspolitical: The midterm elections will be decided tonight, and I want to offer what may be a sort of pessimistic outlay as we all start tuning in #leftist #politics #usa #education #news
voting is just the first step to continuing our work and activism!

You nailed it, we can't afford to demobilize just because the "better" option gets into power or else we will find ourselves with another Trump as President within the next decade.

I don't think it pessimistic to be realistic when calling out the establishement in any way shape or form, or for becoming complacent. I think it's in the job description to always call it like we see it no matter how difficult or painful it is to acknowledge.

I’ve been following you for years. I completely agree. I’ve learned much from you and your perspective and mine are quite similar. You’re right.

I agree, and I think one of the ways to help relegate that problem so it doesn’t get worse in ‘28 is to shift this voting momentum really hard towards primary races.

I agree with your video, but I think calling people like Ossoff "moderates" harms the message. Being anti-Medicare-for-All and pro-Israel are not "moderate" stances.

Left the Democratic Party 6 years ago, and registered Peace and Freedom, which was started by the Black Panthers in coalition with anti war activists here in California. ☮️

without a complete overhaul of our government we will always be making small steps forward. ousting the overt Republicans is great, but we cannot forget that there is so much more work to be done. our system is set to be the lesser of two evils, yet any progress is progress nonetheless.

You also have to take him to consideration the amount of candidates that are more on the progressive side so hopefully the progressive will help the moderates and vice versa and if we take the Senate, they’re mainly gonna be interested in investigations and rightly so so I guess I agree with you on some points but on other points I don’t but I’m old and going blind so don’t mind me, honey. I’m mostly like what you have to say.

All this is very tiring. If nothing else, just look at your ballots a few weeks before every election, research what the candidates have been doing before said election, and do your duty that way. Get your energy back and if you have it in you, then organize. But don’t let these tense races every year kill your hope for change.
