El problema es que quedó obsoleta, eso incentivado por la falta de nieve en la zona. Creo recordar que solo tenían una máquina pisa pistas, con continuos problemas.

Googled so you don’t have to folks: Valle del Sol stood above Pineda de la Sierra in the Sierra de la Demanda, in the province of Burgos, with about 1.5 square kilometres of skiable ground between 1,500 m and 1,820 m served by two drag lifts and a beginner telebaby. It opened in 1975 and alpine skiing ended in 2005, the equipment worn out, the snowmaking inadequate and the altitude too low to be relied on. Unlike most of the Spanish stations of its generation it was not simply abandoned: the site continues to operate as a winter recreation park with snowshoe trails and sledging. Piste names and lift specifications are not recorded in accessible sources.
