Last year I told my friend group very clearly that I wanted intentional friendships and that should start with each of us celebrating & gifting each other on our birthdays. Everyone agreed. Well they showed up for each other(I did too) and when it was my turn zero gifts, zero apologies. That's when I clocked it.😫😫. Now I don't talk to any of them and that energy I redirected to myself. I lost my longest relationships yes, but I deserve better. I deserve to be poured into like I do and I won't settle for less ever again.
