I adore giraffes but may I introduce you to the Tapir, been around pretty much unchanged for 20 to 55 MILLION YEARS and they look like this. They are ridiculous and I love them

You should hear the sound they make. People thought they were mostly mute until very recently, because they won’t talk if humans are around. But when they are alone together they make absolutely lunatic noises. It’s like whale song.

I love when you describe a giraffe to a person and then describe a unicorn to a person and then you ask them which one sounds like the mythical creature? The regular sized horse with a horn? or the gigantic sized horse with leopard spots and two horns.

Fun fact giraffes are one of very few creatures that will fight to the death. Usually in the animal kingdom one backs down, giraffes RARELY back down and the fight continues unto the death. Learned that from my biology professor in college.
