@jade.ingleby: Here you go 👇 If your team needs you for every decision, you haven’t built a team. You’ve built a waiting line. And your business pays for it in delays, bottlenecks and missed opportunities. Here are the five rules I use so my team can execute without me: 1. Own the outcome. If it belongs to you, take it from start to finish. Don’t wait to be chased. 2. Don’t bring me a problem without a next step. Tell me what happened, what you’ve tried and what you recommend we do next. 3. Follow the process, then improve it. Don’t reinvent the wheel every time. Use the system. If it is broken, help make it better. 4. Know which decisions are yours. Make the decisions you are trusted to make. Communicate what affects others. Escalate what is high-risk or hard to reverse. 5. Close the loop. Sent is not finished. Discussed is not done. Done means the outcome has been reached and the right people know. I don’t want my team waiting for my permission at every turn. I want them to think, decide and take ownership. That only happens when leaders provide three things: Clear expectations. Strong systems. Real accountability. The goal of leadership isn’t to be needed for every decision. It’s to build a team that keeps moving when you’re not in the room. Which rule does your team need most?
