@barkatthenews: TAYLOR SWIFT REVEALS SHE FEARED BEING REPLACED ON TOY STORY 5 AFTER ERAS TOUR DELAYS! Pop superstar Taylor Swift has revealed that she feared losing the opportunity to write an original song for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 after her record-breaking Eras Tour delayed her involvement in the project. Speaking during a special Q&A alongside director Andrew Stanton on 1 November, Swift admitted she repeatedly questioned whether the filmmakers had approached another artist while waiting for her schedule to clear. “Did you guys replace me?” Swift recalled asking, explaining that her biggest concern wasn’t missing out on the opportunity, but potentially taking the job away from another songwriter. However, Stanton revealed that Swift had always been his first choice and that he was prepared to release the film without an original end-credits song rather than replace her. Once Swift finally watched an early screening, inspiration struck almost immediately. Working alongside longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, she wrote and recorded I Knew It, I Knew You in just a matter of hours. The song, which marked a return to Swift’s country roots, went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since attracted attention as a potential contender for Best Original Song at the 2027 Academy Awards. Swift also revealed that the film’s themes of friendship reminded her of her longtime best friend Abigail Anderson, adding a deeply personal connection to the project.
