The new command strips take the paint off! And yes I follow the directions for how to remove them. I refuse to buy them anymore.

I use push pins. Never lost anything from the ceiling. And you can see the hole when they come out.

you can use thumb tacks also to hang them. I've done this every year forever.

I used command strips last year and when I tried removing them they tore holes in the Sheetrock. Thumbtacks going forward.
