Fresh pet had lawsuits because it made lots of pets sick, I stopped using it a few years ago as one in 5 packs I bought had MOLD in the food. We now use JFFD frozen

The person or people saying this are being intentionally misleading. FreshPet does not specifically cause pancreatitis because it is not a qualty or unhealthy option, it just has a slightly higher fat content than kibble and some dogs may have a sensitivity to that, especially smaller dogs. My dog for instance is prone to pancreatitis, and cannot have anything with salmon in it, but he dog well with FreshPet as a supplement for his commerical frozen raw diet. It could also be triggered by an abrupt change in diet. If your dog tolerates it well, than it shouldn’t be an issue, especially just as a topper

I feed it as a topper and as a treat. Been doing it for years, no issues. I think some people create their own prob, bec if you read it’s only good for a few days once opened. Lots of these people don’t read the package and just use it for way over the few days. I have always repackaged mine in small containers and freeze and take out as needed, and never had one problem

I cook for my dog and give him vitamins. I will never feed my dog now or future any type or brand of dog food I dont trust they are safe

I feed my babies what ever I’m having as their toppings but with out seasonings. Ground turkey/beef, chicken, sardines, salmon with green veggies and maybe an egg , rice or potato. But only a little. And they lick their plates clean

My Princess doesn’t eat dog food, my roommate got fed her people food so now she won’t eat it. I make her food. I dice up one celery stick, a small carrot, half a cup of cabbage, half cup of broccoli, 2lbs ground turkey, and three eggs.

I found Opti. its packets of fresh meats in a gravy. my dog is very very picky but she will eat this. I buy it from anazon

I live pretty close to a Freshpet production plant. There are tankers waiting in line out to the road to dump their byproducts. One I saw was labeled Inedible Animal Product.

I feed fresh pet. I always check the date and inspect it before using. I have 3 that eat it so I go through it pretty quickly. but if you are feeding only 1 at a time like my daughter in law she freezes it and takes out as needed.

If you’re going to do homemade MAKE SURE TO GIVE A BROAD SPECTRUM MULTI VITAMIN. YOUR DOGS ORGANS WILL SLOWLY DECLINE WITHOUT IT. Homemade diets with no kibble or multivitamins and I mean MULTI organs start to fail due to lack of nutrients. 6years in vet med

I make my dog food. I add in a little vet recommended kibble when serving to add some crunch and all the vitamins and things that is good for them. a roast up chicken breast carrots sweet potatoes drop it all up and mix it with rice.

I make my own so I don’t have to worry as much. I add azestfor to fill in gaps (vitmines/minerals) and he also gets a senior multivitamin…he’s 14 1/2.
