@breakthroughminds3t: Aubrey Drake Graham was born October 24, 1986 in Toronto, the son of Dennis Graham, a drummer from Memphis, and Sandi Graham, a Canadian educator. His parents divorced when he was small and his mom raised him. At 14 he landed the role of Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, and he played the character for seven seasons while quietly recording music in a makeshift basement studio. He dropped out of school for acting and did not finish high school until 2012. When the show wrote his character out in 2008, he put everything into music. He released the mixtapes Room for Improvement in 2006 and Comeback Season in 2007 on his own, and So Far Gone in 2009 turned him into a name. Lil Wayne brought him on tour, and he signed to Young Money that June. His debut album Thank Me Later arrived in 2010, and in 2012 he co-founded his own label with producer Noah "40" Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib, naming it October's Very Own after his birth month. That became OVO Sound, home to all of his albums since Care Package in 2019, and he has since built production company DreamCrew and fragrance house Better World. Hits like "Hotline Bling," "One Dance," and the album Take Care made him one of the defining artists of the streaming era. He started as an actor on someone else's set and ended up owning the label. $ $ $ $ $ #drake #SelfImprovement #CFA_Money #Caashflowacademy #successmindset
