@everest_chronicle: Six Indian trekkers who trekked into Nepal's remote Upper Dolpa region without permits or a guide and ignored weather warnings have been fined after being rescued by helicopter, officials said. The six were rescued on Monday from the Numala-Bungla pass, at an altitude of around 4,500 metres, in Shey Phoksundo Rural Municipality-8 after becoming stranded in heavy snowfall. Each trekker was fined at least 20,000 rupees for violating regulations and charged a permit fee of $40 for staying nearly two weeks in Upper Dolpa without notifying local authorities, bringing the total amount paid by the group to 160,000 rupees, Dhakal said.
