@marccrow78: Some people just aren’t ready for freedom. 😂 Back in April 2019, Casey Michael Lewis walked out of the St. Lucie County Jail in Fort Pierce, Florida, after posting bond on a grand theft charge. The world was his oyster. A fresh start. A second chance. A beautiful new beginning. 🎶 With Arms Wide Open… Unfortunately, Casey apparently had other plans. Instead of leaving the property, he allegedly started checking car doors IN THE JAIL PARKING LOT. Yes. The parking lot of the building he had JUST walked out of. Deputies reviewing surveillance footage spotted him entering an unlocked vehicle and sitting inside for approximately two and a half minutes. When an officer approached, Casey explained that he was just waiting for his girlfriend. A perfectly reasonable explanation. Except he had a brown paper bag containing an iPhone 7, four packs of cigarettes, a lighter, a debit card, someone’s driver’s license, and $547 in cash. None of which helped his explanation. Approximately 15 minutes after tasting sweet freedom, Casey was arrested again and escorted right back into the jail. But here’s the beautiful ending. HE BONDED OUT AGAIN THAT SAME DAY! This time, deputies reportedly made sure somebody was actually there to pick him up. Because apparently the first 15 minutes of freedom needed adult supervision. Some people get a second chance at life. Casey needed a third before lunchtime. What’s the shortest jail release you’ve ever heard of? #FloridaMan #WeirdCrimes #TrueCrime #WithArmsWideOpen #FunnyNews
