@weatherondafly: 🌧️ WEATHER ON DA FLY: SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA & THE NOLA METRO RADAR UPDATE Residents across Southeast Louisiana and the New Orleans Metro should keep an eye on the radar tonight as a weakening band of showers continues to move through the region ahead of an approaching cold front. While widespread heavy rainfall is not expected, scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms remain possible through the overnight hours. The severe weather threat remains low, with the strongest dynamics staying well north of our area. Current trends indicate that most activity will remain on the lighter side as it progresses eastward. Even so, a brief downpour could create wet roadways during the late-night and early-morning commute hours. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time and remain alert for changing conditions. Another concern overnight will be the potential development of patchy fog, especially in areas where winds become light and moisture pools ahead of the front. Reduced visibility could become an issue in spots before daybreak. The good news is that once the front clears the area, conditions are expected to improve with drier and more comfortable weather returning for the latter half of the week. Cooler temperatures and lower humidity will make for a much more pleasant stretch across Southeast Louisiana.
