I’m so sorry. The muscle spasms are the worst. I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and it was so intense. I hope you get to sleep a lot and rest through the pain.

Make sure you are taking Ibuprofen as well! I know they will give you oxy or lortab. But ibuprofen will be your bff. You can add Tylenol- BUT you have to do a little math. I’m a RN. Ibuprofen is 800 mg every 6 hours, MAX 3200 mg every 24 hours. Tylenol/acetaminophen is 3000-4000 mg max a day FROM ALL SOURCES COMBINED. Your pain meds will have acetaminophen in them. Don’t take too much ibuprofen- kidney damage. Too much acetaminophen - liver damage. All of this advice is depending on you not having a contraindication to the above. My son just had shoulder surgery. I had him on a regular schedule. In between the narcotic I would dose with the ibuprofen and acetaminophen combo. Stay up on the ice. First 3 days are the worst. Prayers for you!

Last year I fell and broke my shoulder. my ortho Dr told me that we should avoid should avoid shoulder surgery if at all possible because of how intense the pain is...my heart goes out to you. I will be keeping you in my prayers for relief from the pain as well as healing and restored health. God bless you 🙏🙏🙏
