to be fair, there's literally a world of darkness module called slasher that lets you play as an actual murder hobo with psychic powers. Even with world of darkness, it's not like you're starved for options to murder hobo.

I'm all for people playing games "the way they want" but people need to pick the right game for what they want the theme and vibe to be. There are so many TTRPGs that fill so many niches, I don't know why people don't just do the modicum of research

VtM works best when you pick a tone. generally you can go Interview with the Vampire, Lost Boys, or Near Dark, depending on how you want to mix the Gothic vs Punk feel. if you're looking for From Dusk Till Dawn, go play RIFTS.

If you want combat play werewolf, if you want goofy shenanigans play mage. they do that amd when done well will still make you cry and question your morality. Vampire is really not the starting point for those things

Why is this a thing across the entire TTRPG space? If the system you're playing doesn't work for the type of game you want to play, there's FOR SURE another one out there that will. Play that instead.
