The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has presented 20 tricycles, procured through its internally generated funds (IGF), to support sanitation and clean-up exercises across the capital’s 20 electoral areas. The Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, commended the Assembly for the initiative, urging other Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to invest their IGF in productive ventures. He also called on residents and assembly members to take collective responsibility for maintaining clean surroundings, stressing that sanitation must extend beyond individual homes.
