Actually it’s because Botswana was the only colony Britain gave up willingly after reallizing they didn’t have any recourses, a few years after independence Botswana discovered diamonds lucky bastards😂 the Brit’s also didn’t split up the tribes into smaller countrys becouse Britain wanted it to be stable enough, not for Botswanas sake but so that they can be a buffer zone to stop Germany spreading into Africa, they also hade a great first president
