In 2012, when I was 22, we had a masked man break into my townhouse. I heard a noise in the hall and opened my door. I saw the masked intruder and froze in place. I knew it wasn’t my roommates because why would they be in a mask. My whole body went into shock. I didn’t believe what I was seeing and felt like my legs were cement. It took my over an hour to call police because I kept telling myself what I saw wasn’t real. By then, he had stolen some money and misc things. I can understand why Dylan froze.

i’m her age and to have witness years of people attacking both roommates but especially Dylan in real time has been insane. to have gone through something like that and endure years of harassment, i feel horrible for her
