It wasn’t that I didn’t want a boy I truly had no preference. Just once I found out something switched and my mind went “how”. How can I connect with someone I have nothing in common with? How am I gonna parent him when i know nothing about what it means to be a man? It was scary but he is my everything now.

I didn't even do a gender reveal party because I knew I would not have been able to hide my disappointment if it was blue. I had to open that envelope alone with my husband. Luckily, I got my girl. 😂

I will surely cry and be mad at my husband if I had a daughter. I planned to only have one child, and I want a boy. I prayed for a boy. I dreamt of being a mom to a son. I picked his name in 2018 and got pregnant a year after. Girl in our family are treated as sex object and a slave. I won’t allow my daughter to be treated the way my grandmother, my mother, her sisters, her nieces and me were treated. I want to raise a son to end the generational trauma and curse in our family.

Is gender disappointment for siblings real? I have 2 brothers (will fight anyone for them) and always wanted a sister. My Mom told me I didn't interact with my brother for a week after he was born because he wasn't a girl
