its okay brother.. actually u can still use makcik but depends on the situation.. as u said u were talking to the administrator.. that could be said u were talking to someone with profession.. for that u need to use a formal title as miss/puan/sir/tuan to address them to show professionality.. u can use makcik when u going to gerai makanan etc (not in formal setting).. keep up on that!! it’s fine to make a lil mistake
