I had this exact situation happen to me my first year driving. The cop almost didn’t make it to the car because he was laughing so hard after hearing my “pterodactyl screaming” through the car 😂 he also let me go with a warning to get home safe

People don’t realize this depends when the light changes and how fast you go. But even going slow doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to stop in time. Anyone who’s driven in snow knows you can’t guarantee you will stop in time.

My buddy in the winter hit the ditch and blew the bags and his truck called 911 but he cancelled, he met the cop at the 4 way and just smiled at him 🤣

If you’re stuck in a situation like that, honk your horn and flash lights. Become the center of attention so people notice you and they don’t start accelerating. Also gives a warning to those approaching the intersection
