@abdimarihotmarbun: November 4th - Saint of the Day: Saints Vitalis and Agricola, Martyrs A master and his slave. Rome said one owned the other. Heaven said they were brothers. Agricola was so kind that even the pagans of Bologna loved him. His servant Vitalis watched him live his faith at home, where hypocrisy can't hide, and wanted what he had. Then the empire came for them both. Vitalis was tortured in the arena until no part of his body was without a wound. He died praising God. They thought watching it would break Agricola. It didn't. So they nailed him to a cross, the death reserved for slaves, and in that moment the last line between master and servant was erased forever. Their story survives because St. Ambrose himself found their graves 90 years later and couldn't stay silent. Two ordinary laymen. No pulpit. No platform. Just a life so real it converted the man closest to them. Who's watching how you live?
