I’m sooooooo much more regulated and have maintained a marriage with a securely attached partner for 20 years but it’s still here. There is some parts that will always have to be managed and that’s what my therapist told me as well. I think people stitching are not wanting people to get hopeless which is a trauma response at it is. But realistically, it’s a brain injury that you can improve but will never heal fe completely.

Healing is very individual outlook. I don’t think it all requires therapy. I think we can get lost in this idea that healing is being cured with NEVER having symptoms again or resorting to behaviors that aren’t helpful. I honestly think it ebbs and flows for some, while others relatively seem to have mild setback that might go unseen to others. And whilst therapy can be very helpful, there’s a lot doing it without it.
