This is the one NOBODY knew about on iPhone 😳📱 If you've ever seen these little coloured dots at the top of your iPhone and ignored them - you need to read this, because Apple literally put them there to warn you if someone is watching or listening. Here is what they ACTUALLY mean: *🟠 ORANGE DOT - Microphone in use* If you see a small orange dot at the top right above your signal, an app is LISTENING to you right now. Could be Instagram, Snapchat, Shazam, even a dodgy app in the background. If you didn't open anything that needs your mic, swipe down to Control Centre - it will tell you WHICH app just used it. *🟢 GREEN DOT - Camera in use* This is the scary one. Green means an app is using your CAMERA right now, or camera + mic together. So if you open TikTok, Insta, FaceTime - you'll see green. But if you're just on your home screen scrolling and you see green for no reason?? Close everything. Someone or something is watching. Always check Control Centre to see the app name. *🔴 RED INDICATOR / RED DOT - Screen recording* If the top bar goes red or you see a red dot inside the Dynamic Island - your screen is being recorded or mirrored. That means everything you do, type, passwords, bank apps - is being captured. This happens when you screen record, but also if you're AirPlaying to a TV. If you didn't start it, STOP IT immediately from Control Centre. *🔵 BLUE INDICATOR / BLUE DOT - Location / Hotspot* Blue means an app is actively using your location in the background, or your personal hotspot/navigation is on. Like if Maps is giving you directions, or you shared your hotspot with your mate. It will show a little arrow. If it's on 24/7, it's killing your battery and someone might be tracking location. *PRO TIP that 99% don't know:* SWIPE DOWN FROM TOP RIGHT CORNER to open Control Centre - at the top it will literally show you the name of the app that just used your camera or mic. So you can catch it. I checked mine and Instagram had used my mic 4 minutes ago when I wasn't even in the app... check yours now and comment what you found 👇 Apple added this for privacy but never really explained it properly.
