Im pretty sure in the movie they were trending just by posting a countdown and there were a lot of people shown to be waiting for their music so I think they are popular (Vbs is probably the least popular tbh)

i think if i had to rank the units by their in game popularity it’d probably be: 1. mmj (3 nationally wide famous idols) 2. leo/need (their debut single got over? 5 million? views? and vocaloid songs ichika writes Blows Up and they’ve played for over 15000? people and huge bands) 3. vivid bad squad (i’m not. sure. i don’t read that many vbs stories) 4. wxs (im guessing they’re popular if they’re in america) 5. niigo (they trend on twitter everytime they post) i might switch vbs and wxs though

they fit in a small niche like vbs where they are well known in their respective areas (online music producers & japanese street artists) but not much beyond that while the other groups would be more mainstream (wxs with their shows in pxl & arcland, mmj being a pretty popular idol group and especially leo/need with their ad)
