@yourlocalcoolsahm: If you’ve followed me since this video, thank you so much. Everyone’s kind messages and words of support have always been something that encourages me to keep sharing and talking about the the things we normally don’t. I’ve been personally informed I’ve helped several people get out, choose themselves and thrive. I hope I can continue to keep helping others realize they can too. #onthisday #toxic #masculineenergy #narcissisticabuse #healing
Stay at home dad here…….easiest job I’ve ever had.

I would 1. Separate all the dishes he uses. 2. Separate all his laundry from mine and our kids. 3. Clean up ONLY after myself and our kids. 4. Whatever foods he likes? I wouldn’t buy them anymore. 5. Look up average salaries of people in your area that cook privately in homes, clean homes and nanny. Then bill him for those services and hours you did those things. My husband quickly learned he would be lost without me and can’t afford to give me that kind of attitude.

I recently said in a fight “ all you do is pay bills” and now I keep getting that thrown in my face when he’s ask to do something.

Ladies what are we doing..?! I see this alllll the time. I’ll never understand this. Why’re we settling for partners like this? Were there not signs before the marriage and kids…? Are we not having these deep conversations beforehand? Like what’s happening. He clearly doesn’t like and respect you as a partner, only as someone who can provide for him. LEAVE. Stop enabling.

I’d tell him that “I’m the reason you’re able to go to your job and provide is what I do, we can switch if you’d like”

I would not SAY anything, I would stop doing the things or leave him a list to do it himself since he’s questioning it.

Why is everyone so afraid to have the conversation about division of labor and expectations before the baby is born? You have several months before the baby born. Why isn’t everyone talking with their partner about this earlier???

I would laugh and stopped doing almost everything. Separate his clothes and dishes and tell him to have fun. Yeah they work so hard but they would have done that regardless. My husband works 10 hours and still helps around the house. He does a large majority of cleaning in the weekends and takes our son to give me some sort of break

I was a SAHM who paid for the groceries (inc all baby needs like formula, food, nappies, wipes) and rego’s. All he did was pay $200 a week for board and tried to claim that he is “slaving his @ss off the provide for his family”…… Thank god I’m no longer a single-partnered mum raising two children instead of just my single child anymore 😅

I’m going to be honest with you. If he doesn’t get it now he never will. Anything you try to do to show them how you are at work 24/7 and they are only at work for 8 hours WILL be thrown back in your face I promise you that.

That’s why I’m getting divorced but I was never a SAHM. I’ve always worked and still done it all. So excited to have peace and not take care of a grown man anymore

Life is about balance and trust. My wife is a SAHM as well. I never question what she has done during the day. Instead I walk in, change, then do my part as a parent. I change diapers, do bath time, cook dinner, etc without being asked. I help. We’re partners. Once you get into comparisons you’re ruining the relationship. I may be the provider, but her plate is definitely fuller than mine and I will forever be grateful for her
