@mr.tbricker: PART 8 | Things I’ve Learned After 10+ Years of Collecting LEGO. 💙🩷💜 🚨 DON’T LET SOCIAL MEDIA CONTROL YOUR LEGO COLLECTION! Have you ever seen a LEGO set all over Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok and suddenly felt like you needed to have it? I’ve been there too. 😂 After more than 10 years of collecting LEGO, I’ve learned how easily social media can influence our purchasing decisions. A new LEGO set gets announced. Everyone starts talking about it. Reviews, hauls, and beautiful displays show up everywhere. And suddenly, a set that wasn’t even on your wishlist becomes something you feel you NEED to buy. But here’s the lesson I’ve learned: JUST BECAUSE EVERYONE WANTS IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU NEED IT. As a LEGO content creator myself, I love sharing my collection and seeing what others are building. That’s one of the best parts of this community. But I also believe we should encourage each other to make better collecting decisions, not feel pressured to spend more money. We all have different budgets, priorities, and reasons for collecting. Let social media inspire you, not influence you into buying something you never wanted. ❤️ And before your next LEGO purchase, ask yourself: “Do I really want this set, or do I just want it because everyone else has it?” 💬 BE HONEST: What’s one LEGO set you bought because of social media hype? Was it worth it? One brick at a time. 💙🩷💜 #LEGO #LEGOCollector #AFOL #MrTBricker @mr.tbricker

The Dad Diary - Lego :
So true. I'm posting Lego deals most days but not buying them all. I'm trying to buy sealed from auction sites and then flipping to create a profit then spending that on the set that I REALLY want. 👍
