In California’s deep-blue machine, the same political class keeps feeding itself in an endless circle. They have their hands deep in each other’s pockets, extracting money from low- and middle-income working Californians to fund one another’s budgets and salaries. Look at the elections: every ballot measure that would have imposed real checks and balances went down. The billionaire tax disappears, yet they keep piling taxes on people making $300,000 or less — income taxes, mileage taxes, sales taxes, and more.
