I've held onto this video for a couple of years, never quite knowing if or when I would share it. ❤️ This was the day I shaved my mom's head during her battle with cancer. A moment that so many cancer patients know all too well. One that can feel scary, emotional, and like you're losing another little piece of yourself to a disease that's already taken so much. But if you knew my mom, you knew her strength. You knew her humor. And you knew that even in the hardest moments, we could find a reason to laugh. That's what I want you to see in this video. Not just a woman losing her hair, but a woman who refused to let cancer take away her spirit. A mother and daughter finding joy in a moment that could have been filled with nothing but tears. My beautiful mom has lost her battle with cancer after fighting so incredibly hard for nearly five years. I'm sharing this now because I want to remember her this way. Laughing. Being brave. Making the best of something neither of us ever wanted to experience. I know so many of you have followed her journey, cheered her on, and prayed for her along the way. Thank you for loving us through it all. Mom, I would give anything for one more moment like this with you. One more laugh. One more conversation. One more chance to tell you how much I love you. You were so much stronger than you ever gave yourself credit for, and I'm so proud to be your daughter. You will be missed more than words could ever express. Until we meet again. ❤️🕊️#cancersucks #lungcancer #grief #untilwemeetagain
