@hiddenearthtravel1: Uganda vs Rwanda Gorillas: Is the $700 Difference Worth It? Uganda or Rwanda for gorilla trekking? The permit price is only part of the answer. In this video we compare the cost, the terrain and the real difficulty of seeing mountain gorillas in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park, so you can choose based on your budget and your fitness. You'll learn: • What a gorilla permit costs in Uganda vs Rwanda, and what it pays for • Why the cheaper permit can still mean a longer, pricier trip • How steep and tiring Bwindi really is, and why Rwanda isn't always "easy" • Who decides how hard your trek is (hint: the gorillas) • How to prepare: porters, clothing, age rules and health rules • Which country suits a tight budget, a short trip or limited mobility CHAPTERS 0:00 Same gorillas, different price 0:40 Where mountain gorillas live 1:30 Permit prices: Uganda vs Rwanda 3:00 Rwanda's advantage: compact and close 3:30 Getting to Bwindi, Uganda 4:30 How hard is Bwindi? 5:10 How hard are Rwanda's volcano slopes? 6:00 Who decides your trek's difficulty? 6:40 How to prepare 7:30 The hour with the gorillas 8:10 Two conservation models 9:00 Which should you choose? 9:40 Final thoughts IMPORTANT NOTES • Permit prices change. Uganda's standard foreign non-resident permit was listed at $800 on the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) tariff when this video was made, with a reported discount in April, May and November. Rwanda's was reported at $1,500 per person. Always confirm current prices and availability with UWA (ugandawildlife.org) and the Rwanda Development Board (visitrwanda.com) before booking. Note: • The visuals in this video are AI-generated illustrations, not footage of real gorillas, rangers or visitors in these parks. • This video is for information only, not travel, medical or financial advice. congratulations :
for those who don't know Uganda is way to expensive flights to and from $800 per person + actual permit to trek 800+habituation for 4hrs $1500 [optional]. That's without eating , lodges .for rwanda its $1500 for trekking 4hrs of travel and and 1hr of watching animals. so if you want to visit uganda prepare $800 for trekking or use road tp[bus] for 11hrs to bwindi
