Release him. I don’t know what team in their right mind would actually trade anything for him especially looking at his cap hits 2027 and 2028. I would be extremely surprised if a trade does happen.

I think the only way you keep him is if you restructure the agreement. If he goes anywhere else he probably will have to sign a minimum contract. The rest of that money in 27,28 are non guaranteed in the existing contract.

I like how you got the break down. with that being said I think the best play for both is to repair the relationship this year. Aiyuk keeps his head down has a solid rest of the year. release him next year if he goes to a new team this year he will get a minimum contract have to learn a new system and may not excel. the money is in SF this year and best chance to make more next with a new team

Wrong ! They don’t owe him 10 mil bonus .. given he’s missed 7 gms that 2.5 is prorated and they will get back 18 mil from his bonus .. so he’ll play this year for round 1.1 mil this season and he will work for free as they’ll garnish his check from bonus owed back
