@_.lilraynedrop: ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š NOURISH TO THRIVE ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ 30 Days of Strength, Fuel & Consistency ๐Ÿ’ช DAY 4 โ€” PROTEIN WITH PURPOSE! ๐Ÿ“… Wednesday, November 4, 2026 Good morning, Thrivers!! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’š We're officially on DAY 4 of our November challenge! Today, we're talking about something that becomes increasingly important as we age. PROTEIN! ๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿ—๐ŸŸ And no, protein isn't just for bodybuilders! It's for the woman who wants to get out of a chair without struggling. It's for the person who wants to maintain their independence. It's for the grandparent who wants to keep up with their grandchildren. It's for ALL of us who want to live stronger, healthier lives! ๐Ÿ’ช ๐ŸŒฟ WHY DOES PROTEIN MATTER? As we age, we naturally become more vulnerable to losing muscle mass and strength, especially when we're inactive. Adequate protein, combined with regular resistance exercise, helps support: โœ… Muscle maintenance and repair โœ… Strength and physical function โœ… Tissue repair and wound healing โœ… Immune system function โœ… Healthy aging And here's something important! Eating enough protein is only part of the equation. We also need to USE those muscles! Walking, resistance training, functional movement, and everyday activity all play a role. ๐Ÿฅ— TODAY'S CHALLENGE Let's make protein intentional instead of an afterthought! ๐Ÿฅš BREAKFAST: Include a protein source such as eggs, Greek yogurt, or cottage cheese. ๐Ÿ— LUNCH: Build your meal around chicken, turkey, fish, tofu, or another protein-rich food. ๐ŸŸ DINNER: Make sure your plate includes a quality protein source along with foods that provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals. ๐Ÿ’ง HYDRATION: Drink water throughout the day according to your individual needs. ๐Ÿ’š CONSISTENCY: Focus on progress, not perfection! ๐Ÿ“š A LITTLE SCIENCE! The standard adult protein RDA is 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight daily. That's a minimum population-level recommendation for generally healthy adults, not necessarily the ideal amount for every individual. Some expert groups recommend approximately 1.0โ€“1.2 grams per kilogram daily for healthy older adults to support muscle health, with individual adjustments for medical conditions and activity levels. People with kidney disease or other conditions may need a different protein plan. One size does NOT fit all! โค๏ธ MY MESSAGE TODAY We're not trying to starve ourselves into smaller bodies. We're learning how to NOURISH ourselves into STRONGER bodies! Because what's the point of losing weight if we lose the strength and mobility we need to enjoy life? ๐Ÿ’ช We're not training to look younger. We're training to live stronger! ๐ŸŒฟ DAY 4 CHECK-IN! Tell me in the comments: ๐Ÿ‘‡ What's your favorite way to add protein to breakfast? ๐Ÿ‘‡ Are you getting enough protein throughout your day? ๐Ÿ‘‡ What's one small change you're making today? Remember, Thrivers... NO PROMISES. ALWAYS CONSISTENCY. ๐Ÿ’š ๐ŸŒฟ Revive & Thrive Functional Wellness ๐Ÿ’™ Education = Prevention ๐Ÿ“š RESEARCH & REFERENCES Bauer J, et al.
