@kscius: Gemini CLI: number of function response parts is equal to the number of function call parts On Nov 2, 2026, one developer reported in google-gemini/gemini-cli#30103 that in ACP mode (gemini --acp, as Zed and other editors run it), tool calls made after automatic chat compression are saved under a model reply the compression removed. When the session is loaded again, every prompt fails with "Please ensure that the number of function response parts is equal to the number of function call parts of the function call turn."
