I think you pulled your wire out of your roll instead of unrolling it that's why your wires looking kinky and twisted and stuff. I was taught to unroll my wire for the length I need. and then I saw a guy had a spinner that you set your wire on it and you just pull it out and it just spins around and around so your wire stays nice and straight and pretty. you can make one of them you make a T roll a piece of Romex up and over the leg from the bottom of your inverted T and then you put metal strapping up top with a nail up through it and you hook that on your ceiling and then you can pull it and it spins and your wire stays pretty.

So here in Canada if I did the electrical and I’m not certified electrician the customers home insurance will not cover if it causes a fire , although I know how to do electric but I’m not certified red seal , so are you allowed to do it ?
