@amiri: AMIRI announces the opening of its first flagship in Latin America, located in Ciudad de México – a milestone in the continued expansion of the house’s global retail presence. Situated on the iconic Avenida Presidente Masaryk in Polanco, the new space places AMIRI at the center of the city’s luxury and cultural landscape. Designed under the leadership of AMIRI founder and creative director Mike Amiri, the two-story, 2,863-square-foot space carries the distinct design language of AMIRI boutiques worldwide, while innately reflecting the local landscape and cultural identity through locally sourced materials and furnishings. The exterior façade is rendered in Santo Tomás marble, quarried in Mexico, which continues inside as accents on display cases and columns. The marble is juxtaposed with warm, cream-toned travertine flooring, complemented by neutral, textural wallpaper and sheer drapes – a nod to old Hollywood and the draped curtains of mid-century movie houses, echoing the Los Angeles cinematic roots that continually inspire AMIRI. Throughout, all furnishings are made in Mexico by local artisans, fusing contemporary form with the craftsmanship central to AMIRI. Sculptural timber seating, leather lounge chairs, artisan-crafted tables and richly textured carpeting bring warmth and distinct character to the space. Alongside these, the boutique showcases a curated selection of works by artists Stefano Di Cristofaro, Emiliano Massimini and Alex Slonimsky. Together, they create a soft, tactile and welcoming environment, with the intimacy and feeling of home. The Ciudad de México flagship will offer a curated selection of AMIRI’s ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories for men and women.
