Pasty female pharmacy tech here. I date and time stamped post today on all social media sites that I’m going to post weekly weekly about exactly WHY peoples insurance premiums including Medicare have gone up and that even if you have Medicaid you will now have copays when you never did before starting in January. And the copayments without Medicaid are going to go through the roof! Not letting the new Congress get blamed for what the old one did. But we will hold the new one to account too.

In Florida, we might not have flipped this year but we picked up a ton of seats in our state house and now the Florida GOP has the slimmest house majority since 1996! (For context, the GOP held a supermajority in the Florida house before this)

I live in rural NH. Lots of local Republicans still won. The thing is they're no longer taking these crazy hard lines. I work for the disabled community and previously they were trying to defund our programs. I've been speaking to all of the candidates in 3 of the closest counties to me. The winners all responded to my congratulations email this morning with some version of, I'm excited to work with you and get us back on track. I'm holding their feet to the fire but I think they might actually follow through. There is hope. 💙💙💙

I'm hoping they don't fail us, but everyone needs to remember they don't even get sworn in until January and there are policies scheduled to be enacted in 2027 to intentionally place blame on the Democrats. Our lives are not going to be better policy wise tomorrow. It's going to take a lot of time.

For the first time since 1992 in Utah the Republican legislature is looking like it lost its supermajority… tiny (huge) improvement to Red Utah.

We flipped 2 parishes blue in Louisiana. Jefferson parish and Bernard parish. Jefferson parish is huge, a 20pt difference from 2024 and 7pts ahead for Dems. This is a wealthier, predominantly white parish.
